The Power of Trust!…
Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:30-31 (HCSB)

This has to be a favorite of many people. I know it is one of mine for sure.
As believers, our strength and endurance has nothing to do with us and has everything to do with the Lord in whom we trust. If we were asked to pick out one word in this passage that everything else hinges on it would be the word trust.
Trust is pivotal in our walk with the Lord. If you have never considered it, trust is a prerequisite of faith. The two may ignite in us in rapid sequence, but the fact of the matter is that we can’t have faith in anything or anyone, until such time as we place our trust first.
Just as conviction precedes repentance, trust precedes faith. You simply have nothing to repent of until the Holy Spirit convicts us of something; as soon as that happens we then have an obligation to repent. The sooner, the better!
It is similar with trust and faith; Jesus created us to have the ability to reason. We consciously or unconsciously reason that we place our trust in things. At times these things are proven out by our experience. Other times that trust is born out of understanding.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (HCSB)
When we come to an understanding that Jesus is the Son of God Almighty and He surrendered His live for us, bearing our punishment for our sins; then entombed in the grave He arose from death to triumph over both sin and death; just so he could impart His Grace on those who trust in Him; there is a reasoning that this trust is founded in truth and we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Yahweh.
Psalms 9:10 (HCSB)
Faith kicks in and with the aid of the Holy Spirit then the heavy lifting of cross to follow Christ begins. But this begins with trust.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.
Matthew 16:24 (HCSB)
The other interesting thing that trust precedes is hope. Our investment in trust blossoms into faith and as faith takes hold we find the beauty of hope in Jesus. Hope in what he has done to redeem us. Hope in his promise that He is coming to take us home to live with Him and the Father forever. Hope that He will sustain us and provide that very power to soar as eagles upon the wings of His Grace.
For the grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:11-13 (HCSB)
Trust in Jesus. Have faith in His Word and His Promise. Let us rise on the wings of His Grace filled with Hope that endures beyond anything the world has to offer.
Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.
Romans 12:12 (HCSB)
Fly with me!
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Ephesians 5:25-28 (HCSB)
A man who endures trials is blessed, because when he passes the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12 (HCSB)
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I praise Him with my song.
The Lord is the strength of His people; He is a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.
Save Your people, bless Your possession, shepherd them, and carry them forever.
Psalms 28:7-9 (HCSB)

Reading this passage this morning, my heart was burdened with the desire that those followers of Islam realize that their piety is lost to false doctrines. I pray that the knowledge of the Messiah and what He has done for them can push through to their hearts and that they may find peace and comfort in the Loving God Of Creation; Jesus Christ!
Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning them is for their salvation! I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Because they disregarded the righteousness from God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to God’s righteousness.
Romans 10:1-3 (HCSB)
And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh, so they may follow My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 11:19-20 (HCSB)
The Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love Him with all your heart and all your soul so that you will live.
Deuteronomy 30:6 (HCSB)
I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Ezekiel 36:27-28 (HCSB)
The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient, instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth. Then they may come to their senses and escape the Devil’s trap, having been captured by him to do his will.
2 Timothy 2:24-26 (HCSB)
Note from Kip…
Persistence in prayer is critical to a successful prayer life!
“So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Luke 11:9-10 (HCSB)
There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because He first loved us.
1 John 4:18-19 (HCSB)
